Such a great gem hidden in the residential area! 10 min from our rental flat. The chef explained carefully to us different dishes, and recommended side dishes to go with. We had the prawns and octopus rice which was to die for! We also had a side of white clams which was so delicious. The chef said he made the best bread on the island, and he’s not wrong! Super fluffy and yummy. Very reasonable prices too, would love to return!

The restaurant is very smart and modern, the food and wine really good, service excellent helped by the waiter/proprietor who spoke great english. We. He recommended the Monkfish, prawns and rice, beautifully seasoned rice stew of above fishes. The flavor was so good and the fishes were great. I can't recommend it enough. Bottle of house white and some coffees. All very good value for money too.

For New Years Eve we came for the second time and the prepared menu was splendid. Wonderful ingredients composed for enlightening the senses. The wine and the Spumante were great as well.We saw the famous fireworks up high (with only a few clouds) and were lucky to be able to walk home (only 400 m). We felt warmly welcomed to celebrate with the owner, his family and Portuguese guests. As we stay in Funchal till the mid of March we surely will visit this restaurant again!!!

Very nice restaurant next to the stadium! We had a guest house 5min away and found the restaurant while searching on Google. It was a really good choice! The service was super nice and we have been served really quick. Also the food was served super quick! We had the traditional bread as a starter and as main dish the rice with octopus and gambas. Both was very delicious and a huge portion :)Reservations are recommended.

As with everywhere we visited in Madeira - excellent service and excellent food. We had steak with a mushroom sauce, pirate fish with prawns, sauté potatoes and vegetables. For dessert it was a mascarpone concoction and cooked pears in a spiced wine sauce. All very good indeed. A pleasant, relaxed atmosphere with a variety of nationalities dining.
